Fully Integrated & Modular Design
The fully integrated self-checkout solution includes everything, including the POS counter. A large range of different color options and configurations allows it to be adjusted to the store's layout and branding requirements.

Starling is available with a 15.6 or 21.5-inch touch display, which can be used in landscape or portrait mode. Based on the application, there is also a choice of different processors, memory sizes, and peripherals.

Intelligent Fraud Prevention
Starling offers advanced fraud detection capabilities that leverages artificial intelligence to analyze fraudulent shopping behaviors. Discrepancies trigger alerts that are sent to the store attendants.
A security scale in the bagging area verifies items against the weight in the database.
Computer vision is used for crime prediction and pick list assistance. In addition to the smart security camera, Starling also has the option of camera-based age verification.
EAS/RFID tag deactivation is available as an optional feature.
Cash, Card and Contactless
Payment is easy and quick with support for debit and credit cards, contactless, and mobile through the current POS system. Brackets are available for the most popular payment terminals and additional brackets can be added on demand. The optional cash management module offers advanced coin and paper bill recycling.

AI-driven SCO Software
In addition to the hardware and furniture, Starling includes a module-based self-checkout software with easy step-by-step instructions and a customizable checkout flow and user interface. Starling controls all the peripherals such as the security and produce scale, barcode scanner, tri-light, and security cameras. By leveraging artificial intelligence to analyze data, Starling generates fewer interventions and provides advanced theft detection.
Starling is POS agnostic and can easily be integrated with your store’s current POS software. Partner Tech offers an API toolkit for integration with POS software, loyalty systems, and other ISV solutions.
Real-time Monitoring & Management
Partner Tech offers the capability to track and proactively manage Starling remotely, in real-time. This is a critical component in ensuring asuccessful rollout. It quickly identifies and resolves issues to minimize downtime and provide early detection of negative trends, allowing retailers to quickly make adjustments to increase usage and prevent fraud.
